It is with great pleasure to announce that our new President Leith Elliott has been voted in at the ArtEdWA AGM on Saturday.
Leith has been with ArtEd for many years now and has taken on the role as Secretary in 2015 and Vice President in 2016. Leith is hard working and very passionate about Art Education in Western Australia and has many innovative ideas for ArtEd members in 2017. Please keep your email address updated on Wild Apricot membership site and look out for Facebook postings of upcoming events this year.

2016 was a year of educational and interesting workshops fully supported and attended by ArtEd members. The goal from 2015 where we created as many opportunities for members to participate in the General meetings followed by informational workshops carried through to 2016. These workshops included Narrative painting with Jill Ansell (15 attendees), how to work with acrylic mediums with Sandie Schroder (13 attendees), Upcycling with Jacq Chorlton (16 attendees), and Textiles with Jen Gaye ( 12 attendees). Socially we enjoyed nibbles and a movie at Windsor Cinemas and wrapped up the year with the Christmas Party.

Thank you to the Committee members for supporting the workshops, meetings and running of ArtEd during 2016; specifically Leith Elliott, Dini Plug, Dionne Garvey, Annette Appleby, Ali Blackwell, Annalise Fosbery and Michelle Horrocks.

Thank you to the outgoing members who have been working tirelessly for ArtEd in a volunteer capacity over the years, Dini Plug and Annalise Fosbery.

Thank you for supporting the ArtEd team and Association these last 3 years whilst I have been Acting President and President. I am now moving on to support my local community on the Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee so am stepping down and look forward to forthcoming art workshops, exhibition, journals and social functions with ArtEd in 2017.

Thanks you for your support

Jo Snashall
ArtEDWA Secretary 2014, President 2015- January 2017
